Join us on FacebookScholastic PoloAny school or group of school-aged kids can start a polo team. Horses are provided at Brushy Creek or you an bring your horse. We also have all the equipment necessary to start however boots (hiking, cowboy or riding) and a personal helmet (riding, bicycle, polo or other sports helmet), and eye protection are highly encouraged. No riding experience is necessary to start. To compete at the regional and national level there is a minimum age of 12 but to scrimmage and participate with your group there is no age limit. Coram Deo Academy Polo Team meets Saturdays at 9am. Collegiate PoloCurrently in the Central Region (where Brushy Creek is the host facility for seeding matches and tournaments) several colleges have polo teams including: TCU, UT, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, SMU, Oklahoma State, Colorado State, University of Wyoming, New Mexico State, and Wichita State. Colleges in the area are welcome and encouraged to start a polo program. Polo is played as a club or rec sport at most colleges. Junior Riders / Junior PoloJunior Riders is a special group of students learning to control their mounts and gaining confidence on horseback in a safe, fun-filled setting. Starting Sept 7, Junior Riders will meet Tuesdays at 4:45pm and Thursdays at 4:45 pm. Horses are provided. Kids need to bring a bicyle, riding or other sports helmet and wear barn appropriate footwear - NO SANDALS OR FLIP-FLOPS. With new riders lead-lining may be necessary and parents are asked to participate. Additional riding lessons are available on Saturday afternoons at 2:30pm.
4H / Pony Club / FFABrushy Creek Polo Ranch is open to any 4H, Pony Club or FFA group looking to try polo or start a polo program. PTF horses are available or you can bring your own. Loaner equipment is also available. We will be happy to provide instruction and arena time for your group. Contact Robin Sanchez to schedule a time for your group to come out.
TCU PoloYou can visit the TCU polo website, contact coach Carrie Whitehouse, or join TCU Polo Club on Facebook for more information on TCU Polo team. The TCU polo teams are based at Brushy Creek and have both Varsity and JV teams plus instruction/scrimmage for club members. Any TCU student or faculty member are welcome to join the club - no previous riding or polo experience necessary.
